Manages all aspects of the Landfill operations for Clarendon County. Management duties will include budget development and administration, staff management, and responsibility for daily operations. Develops and carries out policies, procedures and programs as related to both daily and long-range management of the Landfill. Know how to operate a class 2 landfill and have or be able to get a class 2 certification. Know how to operate landfill equipment and have some mechanical knowledge of landfill equipment. Be able to manage personnel and communicate with the public. Have some basic engineering knowledge, understand elevation, slopes and be able to read construction plans. Have some experience in solid waste disposal and operations of recycling centers. Four years of experience of solid waste operations experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
