Building Official

The Building Official ensures all new construction is constructed in compliance with the International Building Code, the International Residential Code, the National Electrical Code, National Plumbing, HVAC, Sprinkler, Swimming Pool  and all other building/zoning Codes & Ordinances adopted by the County.  The BO reviews all construction plans for all construction projects.  The BO inspects manufactured home installation for compliance to state requirements.  The BO issues notices for corrective action for code violations. The BO interprets code and code requirements for the public and staff and supervises the Building Inspector.  Three to five years in codes enforcement preferred but will consider comparable construction experience and licenses.  Certified Building Official preferred but will consider experience and ability to obtain Certification within one year.
